Don't Rush - File the Extension & Join The Dreamers Cohort

We’re days away from April 15, and business owners are feeling the pressure. Instead of rushing and making mistakes, check out The Dreamers Cohort.

Today, April 6th, marks 20 years of me stepping out with my business idea:

The Money Doctor®

But I had no real direction, struggled a lot in the early years, spinning my wheels, wasting time - AND money until I was flat broke in 2009. 💸😳 😭

Then I stumbled on some unique strategies that simplified everything, helped me form some new habits and save $20,000 in 18 months. That changed the game for me and my business.

A key in saving that amount?  Using the tax code fully to my advantage to keep more of what I brought in.

Exercise Your Rights As a Business Owner - Including Taking More Time To File

As April 15th approaches, here’s what I see every year:

Business owners get caught up in the media hype to rush and file. And it’s not that we don't try to do it. But the business is another mouth to feed, along with kids and just life, the full picture is often not just in one place.

👉🏼 The details exist.

They’re just scattered.

The Real Issue Isn’t Taxes

Most entrepreneurs don’t have a tax filing problem.

👉🏼 They have a visibility problem.

  • Business expenses running through personal accounts
  • A business account that isn’t being used consistently
  • Transactions happening… but not being tracked clearly

So when it’s time to file—

👉🏼 things get missed

Not intentionally.

Just because it was never fully broken down.

Why Rushing Right Now Doesn’t Fix It

Trying to clean everything up in April creates more stress than clarity

You’re:

  • searching for transactions
  • second guessing categories
  • hoping nothing gets overlooked

That’s not a system.

👉🏼 That’s pressure.

This Is Why Extensions Exist

Filing an extension isn’t falling behind.

👉🏼 It’s giving yourself time to actually get it right.

Because if nothing changes between now and October—

👉🏼 nothing will be clearer then either.

What We Did Inside Dreamers (And Why It Matters)

This past session, we kept it simple.

We took ONE account.

And broke it down:

👉🏼 what’s coming out automatically

👉🏼 when it’s coming out

👉🏼 what’s actually business

That alone was eye-opening.

Because once you see it—

👉🏼 the confusion starts to go away

Why We Start On Paper First

Before software.

Before reports.

👉🏼 we break it down manually

So you can actually see what’s happening.

No guessing.

No assumptions.

Then in Month 2—

👉🏼 we set it up properly inside an accounting system

But that only works if Month 1 is done right.

If This Sounds Familiar, Start Here

If you’re thinking:

“I don’t have everything tracked…”

“I’m not sure what’s where…”

That’s your starting point.

Not more tools.

Not more apps.

👉🏼 visibility first

Don’t Just File… Fix It

You can rush and file.

Or—

👉🏼 you can slow down just enough to actually understand what’s happening

The Dreamers Cohort is already in progress.

The first session replay is up, and you can still join and move into Week 2 with us.
